About Us

Kara Anderson's Dance Studio (KADS) opened its doors in North Brookfield, Massachusetts, in September 1996. When the studio first began, owner Kara Anderson was the only instructor. As the years passed, the studio continued to grow, and so did the faculty. Today, KADS is proud to have a talented team of 11 faculty members, including staff and guest choreographers, who share a passion for inspiring the next generation of dancers. In 2011, KADS expanded by opening a second location in Southbridge, Massachusetts. This studio holds a special place in Kara's heart—it was formerly Debbie Sichol's Dance Center, the very studio where Kara trained as a child in the town where she grew up. Returning to her roots has allowed her to continue the tradition of quality dance education in the community that helped shape her love for dance. At KADS, we are more than just a dance studio—we are a dance family. We believe every child is important and deserves to feel valued, en couraged, and supported. While some dancers dream of pursuing professional careers, many simply dance because they love it. Whether a student's journey lasts a few years or a lifetime, we are honored to be part of it. Many KADS alumni have continued their passion for dance by becoming dance teachers, opening their own studios, dancing on college teams, joining professional organizations, or starting their own dance companies. Our faculty is committed to teaching so much more than steps and technique. Every class is designed to help children develop coordination, poise, grace, rhythm, and physical fitness while also encouraging creativity, self-expression, discipline, and teamwork. We strive to build con fidence, strengthen self-esteem, and foster a lifelong appreciation for music, dance, and the performing arts. We believe it is essential for children to participate in activities that are both healthy and enjoyable. At Kara Anderson's Dance Studio, danc ers learn in a positive, nurturing environment where they are encouraged to work hard, believe in themselves, make lasting friendships, and discover the joy of dance. Whether a child dances for one season or a lifetime, our goal is to provide an experience that helps them grow— not only as dancers, but as confident, compassionate individuals.
